Mark Julien

As chief financial officer, Mark Julien plays a leadership role in determining financial strategy, directing, and overseeing all financial and fiscal management aspects of company operations. In 2007, Julien played a key role in negotiating the sale of Kronos to private equity firm Hellman & Friedman for $1.8 billion. Julien's passion for results has helped propel Kronos to new levels of financial success.

Prior to being named chief financial officer in 2006, Julien was vice president of finance. In this role, he managed a financial organization that encompassed worldwide tax, treasury, accounting, payroll, and credit and collection functions. Under his direction, the finance organization was tasked with the development and maintenance of corporate policies to ensure compliance with internal control standards, internal and SEC financial reporting, corporate budgeting and analysis, revenue recognition analysis and support, design and administration of field sales and service compensation plans, as well as financial analysis for acquisitions.

Before joining Kronos in 1995, Julien was a certified public accountant (CPA) at Ernst & Young. Julien earned his bachelor's degree in accounting from the University of Notre Dame and has participated in a series of executive education programs, including the AEA/Stanford Executive Institute at Stanford University.
