Premier Farnell selects Kronos to improve productivity and gain real-time visibility into attendance and absence

Premier Farnell plc (LSE:pfl) - the leading distributor of  electronic components, has selected Kronos to improve efficiencies around the time and attendance management of 350 employees based in their Leeds based distribution centre. The implementation of Kronos will allow employees to better manage their time given the real time nature of the system and enable Premier Farnell to increase payroll accuracy and productivity, providing valuable insight into the time spent on a range of operational activities. Kronos will be fully integrated with the company’s Empower payroll solution.

“Our existing time and attendance system no longer supported the needs of the business as we support a growing multi channel experience,” explains Nicki Chaney, Global Supply Chain Analyst Manager. “Our internal, multi-departmental project group looked at a number of providers before selecting the Kronos Workforce Central suite.”

Further enhancements will add extra tools to help the organisation continually improve service standards for customers and suppliers alike. Commenting on the Premier Farnell project, Keith Statham, Managing Director, Kronos UK says: “Simply moving from manual timekeeping to a fully automated and integrated system brings added value to any organisation. I’m delighted that Premier Farnell has selected Kronos and look forward to working with them on a successful implementation.”

“One of the key advantages that Kronos will bring to the organisation is real-time reporting with live data to give us up to the minute information about the business. Managing in real-time rather than in arrears will enable us to proactively manage and support our people better. We also anticipate introducing self-serve facilities with Kronos, where employees will be able to see their own timecards, request holidays and check shifts as we continue to work to improve the employment experience at Premier Farnell.”
