GEOAmey Selects Kronos to Drive Efficiencies across the Workforce
Wokingham, UK - 5 January 2012 — GEOAmey PECS Ltd (GEOAmey), provider of prisoner escort and custody services in England and Wales, has selected Kronos® to manage the scheduling and time and attendance of its 3,500 staff responsible for prisoner movements. GEOAmey, a joint venture company comprising the GEO Group Inc. and Amey, has been awarded three contracts by the Ministry of Justice to provide custody services for more than 12,500 prisoner movements every week, between police custody suites, courts and prisons.
GEOAmey worked with the Ministry of Justice to develop innovative logistical solutions supported by advanced technology to drive more efficient prisoner movements, and turned to Kronos for its workforce management solution. Staff schedules will be set up using Kronos, and labour data will be collected from depot-based staff through biometric-enabled time clocks and, for staff in the field, via a telephony-based IVR (Interactive Voice Response) service. Kronos will integrate with GEOAmey’s HR, payroll, and finance systems from SAP. The automation of data collection for all staff, irrespective of their work base, will ensure that payroll is processed efficiently despite the number of complex pay rules in place.
