As vice president of professional services in Asia Pacific (APAC), Timothy Tress is devoted to ensuring seamless customer implementation, engagement and ongoing success for organisations across the public sector and federal industries. He regularly interacts with internal and external customers, ensuring employees are contributing exceptional customer service while simultaneously supporting organisations as they optimise processes and drive better business outcomes.
Above all else, Tress is passionate about the engagement and success of his organisation and empowers his team to make decisions based on what they believe is best for the business success of customers and Kronos alike.
When Tress joined Kronos in 1999, he served as the service director for the mid-Atlantic region overseeing the professional services team. In 2007, Tress adopted the role of senior director of global cloud service and service enablement, responsible for launching and scaling the company’s cloud services as it shifted to a software-as-a-service cloud platform. During his tenure, Tress has continued to transition into and strengthen broader business units, bolstering the professional services team within the U.S. and then across the international landscape before turning his focus to APAC in November 2018.
Prior to joining Kronos, Tress worked for Checkpoint Systems, a merchandise anti-theft and security device company, for nearly 13 years, managing the company’s services and customers in the Midwest region of the U.S.
After graduating high school when he was 16, Tress joined the U.S. Navy at 17, where he served for four years as a combat information supervisor, led a team of 15 individuals in the combat information centre, and began to foster his deeply held values of leadership, responsibility and unwavering respect for all team members. He completed the U.S. Navy’s Operations Specialist class “A” school in Dam Neck, Va., and earned an associate’s degree in computer technology from the Total Technical Institute.
