"I believe deeply that managing people is a privilege. I work toward this belief every single day as CEO. Our Kronos family is built on a foundation of trust and transparency, which has been instrumental to our success. I am exceptionally proud to be a Kronite thanks to so many inspiring co-workers."

Aron J. Ain
Chief Executive Officer

Aron Ain has been chief executive officer of Kronos and a member of the Board of Directors since 2005. Since he joined Kronos in 1979, Ain has played a role in nearly every functional department at the company, helping to build what is today a $1.3 billion global enterprise software powerhouse. With more than 30,000 organisations using Kronos solutions in more than 100 countries, Kronos is a leading global provider of workforce management and human capital management cloud solutions.

Ain is regarded as a pioneer in the workforce management and human capital management areas, and has been instrumental in revolutionising the way organisations manage their workforces with a new generation of products and services – including industry-leading cloud, analytics, and mobile technologies – that are designed to serve global customer needs, increase productivity, manage compliance risk, and drive employee engagement. In recognition of Ain’s visionary leadership, entrepreneurial spirit, and personal commitment to business and the community, he has been awarded numerous prestigious awards.

In 2016, Ain was awarded Glassdoor’s Highest Rated CEO honor as one of the highest-rated CEOs in the U.S. based on employee reviews, and was also named CEO of the Year by the Mass Technology Leadership Council. In addition, Ernst & Young named him Entrepreneur of the Year in 2012. As someone who deeply believes that leading people is a privilege and that great management is the single largest component that adds to shareholder value and company performance, Ain was profiled by The New York Times about “The Incalculable Value of a Good Boss.” Under this type of leadership, Kronos has been continuously recognised for its innovative product offerings and energised “Top Place to Work” corporate culture around the globe.

Kronos has achieved tremendous global growth under Ain’s direction, with operations and market leadership throughout Europe, the Middle East, Africa, Asia Pacific, and Latin America.  As a result of driving the company’s global expansion, traveling the world to spend time with customers and partners, and leading a multinational software company, Ain is well-versed on the complexities of managing a global workforce.

Passionate about delivering the experience that customers expect, Ain firmly believes that employee retention leads to loyal and satisfied customers. According to Ain, “Kronites who feel valued stay longer and develop a deeper understanding of and stronger relationships with our customers. It is their experience and knowledge that allows Kronos to deliver incredibly innovative products and a superior customer experience.” Ain’s focus on customer service is the reason that a customer-first orientation is a core value intricately woven into the fabric of the company. Ain is frequently asked to share his experiences by speaking about entrepreneurship and the skills necessary to lead a successful global organisation.

Ain believes that being an active participant in the broader community brings balance to his life and allows him to give back in recognition of all the guidance he has received during his life. Ain serves on the Board of Trustees of his alma mater, Hamilton College in Clinton, New York, is on the Trustee Advisory Board of Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center in Boston, Mass., and is an active member of several other community organisations and business groups, such as MassChallenge and the Massachusetts High Technology Council, where Ain serves as Vice Chairman.

In addition to a bachelor’s degree in economics and government from Hamilton College, Ain has participated in a series of executive education programs, including the AEA/Stanford Executive Institute at Stanford University.
